Hi, I have no experience with Cisco phones and I have few Cisco IP Phone CP-6921 that I need to convert to SIP can you please help? Denayer.peter Community Member. Dear All, Hi, we have purchased several 7911G Cisco phones without knowing that we need to convert them to SIP. We are currently using Snom devices with Elastix which works fine and going through hordes and hordes of articles on how to convert various Cisco phones but not the 7911G. After reading several of the articles mentioned above, I have downloaded the Cisco software (cmterm-7911_7906-sip.8-3-3.zip), setup a tftp server, and have managed to get no further as the phone cannot connect to the tftp server. Is there anyone who has done this with Elastix and can shed some light? Greatly appreciate any help. Hi danardf, Followed an older link of yours and managed to get to the stage where you say to Verifiy that you have this file in: /usrlib/asterisk/modules/chan-sccp.so - I'm not very good with linux command line generally but managed to look around and there isn't a file by that name.
Also, when you say Add every SEP[mac].cnf.xml that you need this some devices parameters. Add also the file; XMLDefault.cnf.xml., and be careful at format and each parameters. I have installed Chan_SCCP-3.0.2_STABLE and upgraded to 1.6 elastix Would appreciate some more info on the last - how to add every sep file parameters etc. Thanx for you help D.

I have a problem with 7911 IP phone. I have installed 2 new 7911 IP phones and registered it on UCM 8.6.2. They have successfully registered but the confugured locale have not been applied.
I've done factory reset by 123456789*0# combination, the phone began repeatedly reboot with several minutes interval, showed upgrade screen for several seconds and than showing a Cisco logo with 1 circle with dot in lower left edge on the screen. I've reset it with *# after that I see a clear screen and the phone flashed its transparent buttons with several minutes interval.
In tcpdump I see the phone loads term11.default.loads, UCM sends it and than no activity from the phone. Maxim, Yes, 7911 supports SSH but it needs phoneload 9.2.1 in it to support it & at this moment the main issues is that it's not getting on to 9.2.1. If you refer the for firmware release 9.2.1 it says, For all SCCP/SIP firmware upgrades from firmware release versions earlier than 8.3(3) to version 9.2(1) or greater, you must first upgrade your firmware to an intermediate version (8.3(3) - 8.5(2)) then upgrade to 9.2(1).
